Tip

承知いたしました = humble keigo, safe for clients & senior management. 分かりました = polite but neutral, fine for peers and casual superiors but feels light to a client. 了解しました / 了解です = casual acknowledgement between equals or to juniors — NEVER use upward to a client or boss, it sounds blunt and even rude. Rule of thumb: if in doubt, 承知いたしました.
